Blindness Control Programme
The eye care services in the District are being carried out by the District Blindness Control Society. There are three eye specialists available at the Tura Civil Hospital and there are three Ophthalmic Assistants in the District. There are three operation theatres in the District-Tura Civil Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and Ampati CHC. The Blindness prevalence is below 1% at present.
